Kokul’s World

Today I decided to upgrade the site’s WordPress version from 2.1 to 2.2.1. The upgrade went smooth as usual, however I forgot to back up my files, and since this time it was a large leap in the code, my theme failed to work properly. So I had to move to a new one. That’s when I found Fresh (Compact) by Wolfgange Bartelme. It lacks some of the functionality of my old theme, but I think it’s absolutely beautiful. Unfortunately, all the plugins aren’t showing, since I have a lot of code to still insert. On the brighter side, I’ve done most of the tweaking I needed for this theme.

So the moral here is, always back up your database and files before making any upgrade because with software like this, chances are something will always break!
