Youtube, a user-powered revolution. We’ve all heard about it in the news. CNN has done countless stories about it. Even TIME magazine featured it in their person of the year issue. The site makes antipiracy advocates uneasy because any user can get easy access to movies, TV shows, anime, etc.

It’s amazing how much of an influence Youtube is on people’s lives. It’s become a household name. Everyone I know has heard of it, and many have been on it. Many of my cousins and friends spend our free time on Youtube, watching user-created spoofs and parodies, or some amazing clip caught on home video. Youtube has now become my major source of entertainment over the march break. Without it, I would be bored to death.

I use Youtube to watch unlicensed anime. It’s amazing. No downloading, no scrambling around to delete and move files to free up hard drive space. I just go on Youtube, and anything I want to watch can be found there. In fact, for hundreds of thousands of people, this is how they kill time. I honestly can’t imagine life before I had Youtube, just like how many people can’t imagine life on the internet before Google arrived to satisfy our searching needs. Infact, it’s the same feeling as how I can’t imagine how life would have been like before MSN Messenger or Hotmail.

So if by the very very very very small chance some Youtube exec or high level person is reading this, I salute you. Here’s hoping that the Youtube revolution continues for many years to come!
