It’s only been a few days since Windows Vista has been released, and pirates have already gotten to it. I was doing my normal surfing, and I cruised over to Demonoid.com and noticed that Vista was on the recently added list.

I was curious. Was Vista’s activation already been bypassed? Not to my surprise, it was. Apparently the solution is really simple and has something to do with changing the activation period. For the purpose of keeping this article from leaning towards the support of piracy, I will not list any furthur details about how the crack works. You can find out for yourself with a little help from Google.

Although this may affect people’s perspectives about my position of piracy, it always amazes me how crackers, hackers, and pirates always get around the measures that were in place to prevent piracy. It seems to me like their programming skills and knowledge is limitless, if given sufficient time.
