Terrorist plot results in air ban of gadgets

Well I just got wind of this on Engadget.com, but apparently now gadgets have been banned on British and some European flights because of a terrorist plot. You may have heard on the news that today, Scotland Yard announced that they had arrested 21 people in connection with a terrorist plot using liquid explosives on a plane. Of course, this left air travellers facing suspended flights and long lines. In light of this, authorities have banned bringing onboard any liquids, gels, or lotions (exception is medicine). Also, travellers cannot bring in laptops, cameras or cellphones until further notice, a nightmare for those who were hoping to do some work inflight.
